Overgrown whins and a boggy path were making conditions unpleasant on the West Island Way path near Hilton. The Bute Conservation Trust volunteers spent the morning clearing a long stretch of whins to create solid ground for the pathway. Whilst the other volunteers worked on the whins, Euan and Donald took on the task of fixing a gate that had dropped on account of a rotted timber post.
